When playing poker, you must bet in proportion to the cards in the pot. The highest-ranking card wins, while the lowest-ranking card loses. You must bet accordingly to increase your chances of winning the hand. In most cases, the best hand is the highest-ranking one. But there are a few exceptions. The game of poker is played with poker chips. When there are more than seven players, the game organizer should provide the chips to all participants. The white chip is the lowest value; the red chip is worth five whites; blue chips are worth two, four, or five reds; and purple chips are worth ten, twenty, or fifty whites. Each player “buys in” by purchasing poker-chips and placing them in the pot. The player who places his chips in the pot is known as an active player.

The rules of poker are very simple. Usually, the players buy in for a certain amount of money. If there are seven or more people in the game, the chips should be provided for all players. The chips come in different colors, with the white chip being the lowest-valued. When you play poker, a red chip is worth five whites; a blue chip is worth two, four, or five reds. The players buy in to a game by placing their chips into the pot.
